Into the Deep
Restoring Our Inner Rhythms of Joy, Contemplation, and Emergence
and the Spaces Between
September 28 - October 2, 2026
Hana, Maui
Facilitated by Katie Raver
In Hana, Maui, all elements of the land, ocean, and sky are constantly changing…
…the steady pulse of waves coming in, breaking, and receding over the black sand beach,
…the heartbeat of the tide rising within a hidden lava tube cave,
…the wind waking up the sounds of the bamboo forest.
Cycles of sunrise and sunset, flow and stillness, day and night, high tide and low tide, remind us of the deep rhythms that arise within ourselves and our communities.
On this journey, we step into those living patterns to listen, to restore our natural rhythms, and to attend to the spaces between the rhythms - where silence, renewal, and presence reside.
What to Expect
Each day, we will have group walks, meditations, and guided attention experiments designed to help you reset your own rhythm and experience the restorative power of nature
Class schedule is set daily dependent on the weather and the group
There’s plenty of time off during the week of class to explore Hana on your own and rest and renew
This experience will be mostly outdoors, with short periods of sitting, walking, and standing. Sometimes there is a hike or two that’s more strenuous - these are not required and some participants choose to take a break from those if it’s too much or they just want more down time.
No special physical skills are required, just an openness to being present.
Your Guide:
Katie Raver first visited Maui with Tom and Bobbi Best in 2002. Connecting with the island and bringing NLP-like experiences into nature has long been a passion and Maui is the ultimate place to collaborate with the abundant, restorative environment that surrounds us in nature.
Overview
Expect to begin Monday, September 28, at 2pm, and wrap up by 2pm on Friday, October 2.
Flights arrive to Kahalui, Maui (airport code OGG). Plan to arrive there, pick up groceries and other supplies, then drive the Hana Highway (plan a minimum 3 hours so you can slow down and enjoy). I prefer to arrive the day before to settle in and get things organized, others land in the morning, grab groceries, and drive the Hana Highway right away. You will need to rent a car or share a rent car. Book your lodging in Hana, Maui. For those camping, camp at Wainapanapa State Park (prior reservation absolutely required) or Caroline and Tony’s Fruit stand (no reservations, cash only).
